We're combining all the things that make you feel warm and cozy and putting them together in one amazing yoga event this winter.

Join Amy Sinclair for a 75 minute gentle vinyasa class ending with some yin and restorative postures. The class is held in front of the floor to ceiling stone fireplace in Mount Hood's function room. We will be serenaded by live acoustic music from Merit Shalom, a talented singer and songwriter. We will end class with a tonglen (Buddhist Loving Kindness) meditation, and savasana. Once we awaken from our dream-like state, there will be a hot cocoa reception! It's the perfect way to nourish your body and soul and practice loving kindness, to yourself and others!

A roaring fire, a nourishing yoga practice, live music, loving kindness meditation, and soul-warming hot cocoa, what could be better on a chilly winter's eve?

This event will also be a coat drive, so please bring a new or gently used winter coat or accessory to donate!

Come get cozy with us!

More info about our Yoga instructor, Amy:
On somewhat of a whim, before ever having stepped foot in a yoga studio, Amy enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training in January, 2013. Soon after graduation in summer 2013, Amy began teaching yoga, and hasn't stopped since. In March 2014, Amy completed her 100-Hour Barre & Soul Teacher Training (also on a whim) with Barre & Soul founder, Andrea Isabelle Lucas. In November 2014, Amy quit her full time job as a food scientist to teach yoga and barre full time. Since then, Amy has taught over 1500 barre classes, and over 600 yoga classes. She now serves as a leader of Barre Teacher training, and a mentor for new barre and yoga teachers. She has plans to assist with yoga teacher trainings as well.
Amy's teaching style is light-hearted and playful, but also challenging. Amy's yoga classes are intelligently sequenced with care. Amy's barre classes are a blend of mindful movements, and positivity. Amy hopes to bring the joy and inspiration she found through a regular yoga and barre practice to as many people as possible. Her students describe her as authentic, honest, and compassionate.
In 2016, Amy began pursuing her life long (dormant) dream of becoming a firefighter. She completed her EMT training in March 2017, and is now on the eligibility list for Massachusetts firefigher's. You can keep up to date with Amy's progress on her blog.

More info about our musician, Caitlin Hyatt:

Caitlin grew up performing with her brother in weddings, special events, church, etc. She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Therapy. She is currently a practicing Neurologic Music Therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where she uses music to help people recover from brain injury. Caitlin started attending barre and yoga classes, where she realized how much music can enhance her workouts. Music is, truly, integrated in every aspect of her life. Caitlin’s voice lends itself to soulful genres, and she accompanies herself on the guitar, ukelele and piano.
