Hygge (HOO-Guh) has been called "coziness of the soul." It is the Danish tradition of acknowledging and seeking out a moment of coziness, or special moments of togetherness. Think curling up by the fireplace with a good book and a cup of tea, getting together with family to bake cookies, or playing board games with friends.
Danes have made hygge a way of life and despite their long, cold, dark winters, they have been consistently ranked as the happiest people on earth.
Let's cultivate coziness together! In this 90 minute workshop, Amy will discuss Hygge, and share some tips to cultivate more coziness in your everyday life. After the discussion, Amy will lead you through a gentle flow with restorative and yin postures at the end (think lots of bolsters and blankets!). The class will conclude with a guided meditation and extended savasana, all in front of our faux fireplace!
Come and find out if hygge is the missing piece to not just surviving, but thriving during our harsh New England winter.
